Beer Brewer AB InBev Wins Olympics Sponsorship

Anheuser-Busch InBev (AB InBev) has become the first beer brand in the 40-year history of the International Olympic Committee's (IOC) sponsorship program.

As reported by Courtney Bonne and Graham Dunbar for the Associated Press (AP), the IOC and AB InBev signed a deal for the next three Summer and Winter Games. The agreement includes the Paris Olympics in 2024, the 2026 Winter Games in Italy, and the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics.

The exact value of the deal was not disclosed, but the IOC has noted that some sponsors in its program pay over $300 million for a four-year commercial cycle. Angela Charlton and Dee-Ann Durbin also reported for AP on this development.
