Bitcoin Rises A Tad Higher Than $50,000

Bitcoin rose 0.49% to $50,188.4 at 1004 GMT on Sunday (6:04 p.m. in Manila), adding $245.24 to its previous close, Reuters reported on September 8, 2021.

The world's biggest and best-known cryptocurrency is up 81% from this year's low of $27,734 on Jan. 4, Bhargav Acharya reported for Reuters.


Ether, the coin linked to the ethereum blockchain network, rose 1.16% to $3,932.07 on Sunday, adding $44.97 to its previous close.


The global cryptocurrency market capitalization is currently $2.28 trillion, an increase of 0.33 percent in the past 24 hours.


Most major cryptocurrencies are trading mixed, with Cardano losing more than 3 percent in the past 24 hours.

The global cryptocurrency market capitalization is currently $2.28 trillion, an increase of 0.33 percent in the past 24 hours. Bitcoin is trading marginally higher at around $50,000, while Ethereum has fallen more than 1 percent to $3,800.
