In a disclosure made on Monday to the Philippine Stock Exchange, the fiber broadband provider stated that it has recently expanded its market reach by introducing a prepaid fiber internet product and a low-cost postpaid plan targeting the mass market.
Converge introduced its pioneering prepaid product called Surf2Sawa (S2S), which has been gaining popularity among budget-conscious customers since its launch.
This is evidenced by the 77 percent growth, equivalent to over 25,000 net additions, that it recorded in the second quarter of the year compared to the previous quarter.
The company's postpaid subscribers have continued to experience steady growth, with the introduction of the low-cost postpaid plan called BIDA Fiber complementing the company's core product, FiberX, which offers speeds starting at 200 Mbps for a monthly fee of P1,500.
Meanwhile, BIDA Fiber is priced at P888 per month, offering speeds of 35 Mbps and the ability to connect up to six devices. All three products (FiberX, BIDA, and S2S) offer unlimited data consumption.
