National Public Radio (NPR) has dumped Twitter after owner Elon Musk refused to change his description of the independent broadcast system from “state-affiliated media” to “publicly funded” outlet, like what he did to BBC.

Reporting for HuffPost, David Moye said Musk apparently insists on getting the last word in his current skirmish with NPR, responding to the NPR’s action with a tweet to “defund NPR.”
Musk cannot pretend that he hates subsidies since his companies received $4.9 billion in subsidies, as reported by Jerry Hirsch for the LA Times on May 30, 2015.
The apartheid-era Musk also demanded in 2022 that the government must not control capital. One of his companies received another subsidy the same year.
Media outfits piled on Musk after his NPR flap, saying the NASA should stop doing business with SpaceX and the White House must go hammer and tongs against Musk for promoting disinformation and decorating cyberspace with lies to boost his ego.
Business Insider and HuffPost said Musk is nursing a bloated ego, which is as bloated as Trump’s, whom he predicted would win in a landslide in 2024.
