The Sarasota-based company has voluntarily recalled its items and informed retailers that sell them. The CDC advised customers to discard any Big Olaf Creamery goods they may have in their homes.

The organization also advised individuals to properly clean any things or surfaces that have come into contact with the ice cream.

Fever, muscle aches, headaches, stiff neck, confusion, loss of balance, convulsions, diarrhea, and gastrointestinal problems are all possible signs of listeriosis. In pregnant women, the infection can lead to premature labor or miscarriage.
