Foxconn CEO Advocates For iPhone Maker To Build EVs

Foxconn, the major manufacturer for Apple, led by CEO Young Liu, has expressed its intention to venture into the design and production of electric cars, as reported by CNN.

While Foxconn is renowned for making iPhones, this shift into EVs poses significant challenges given the complexity and regulations associated with the automotive industry.


Liu acknowledged the substantial differences between smartphones and cars, with the latter having 20 times more components. He emphasized that for the plan to succeed, Foxconn aims to capture 5% of the global EV market by 2025.
