German Carmaker Audi Met CO2 Fleet Targets In 2021

German carmaker Audi announced on Tuesday that it had met its CO2 fleet targets for Europe last year, Deutsche Presse-Agentur (dpa) reported.

"At 122 g/km, the company was well below the legally predetermined target value of 129 g/km," Audi said.
The brand had thus made a positive contribution to the Volkswagen Group's fleet value, which was also below the legal requirements, dpa also disclosed.
Sales chief Hildegard Wortmann pointed out to the electrification of the model range. Audi sold almost 43,000 fully electric cars in the EU, Norway, and Iceland last year.
