The employees are protesting what they said were union-busting activities of the company management via the termination of 11 union officers, according to Ed Laurencio, vice president of the Association of Genuine Labor Organizations where the Home Credit Consumer Field Officers, Riders and Collectors Workers Union are affiliated.

Laurencio said the picket protest will start at 9:15 at the Spark Place Bldg. on P. Tuazon Blvd corner 10th Avenue Cubao to bring attention to the Home Credit management’s union busting activities with the termination of 11 union officers, diminution of benefits, and non-recognition of its union.

The protesters want to show the management of Home Credit in the National Capital Region to stop the illegal termination which they said are meant to prevent the union from winning their pending Certification Election to be conducted by the Department of Labor and Employment.

After the certification election, Home Credit union wants to initiate collective bargaining with Home Credit management.
