Judge Rules Fani Willis Can Pursue Trump's Georgia Case

Fulton County Superior Court Judge Scott McAfee has determined that Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis must step aside from the Georgia election interference case against Donald Trump due to her past romantic relationship with special prosecutor Nathan Wade.

The judge's ruling stipulated that Willis must either recuse herself from the case or remove Wade from the prosecution team to ensure the public's confidence in the integrity of the legal proceedings. I Photo: Fani Willis Facebook

While McAfee did not find evidence of a conflict of interest, he stated that the relationship created an appearance of impropriety that could compromise the prosecution's independence.
