The Ukrainian government has adopted measures to suspend exports of Ukrainian gas, coal, and fuel oil because of Russia's invasion, Max Hunder and Natalia Zinets reported for Reuters.

A government resolution issued on Monday, June 13, 2022, included coal, fuel oil, and domestically produced gas on a list of commodities prohibited from export during wartime.

It said this was connected to "the armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine and the imposition of martial law in Ukraine."

Ukraine seeks to stockpile its resources as Russia intensifies its attacks in the Donbas region while Ukrainian forces batter Russian forces in southern Ukraine.
