MOEA's Bureau of Foreign Trade said more than 150 companies from Lithuania attended the event to exchange discussions with visiting members of Taiwan's trade delegation.

The 66-member delegation, led by Taiwan's National Development Council Minister Kung Ming-hsin, arrived in Lithuania on Tuesday after concluding its visits to Slovakia and the Czech Republic, as part of a tour intended to bolster the island's trade and economic ties with Europe.

The matchmaking conference, which was held in person as well as online Thursday, is expected to generate over $10 million in business opportunities, the bureau said.

In a virtual speech, chairman of the e-commerce platform PChome Online Jan Hung-tze announced that its online site will soon launch a dedicated gallery featuring a plethora of Lithuanian products to allow easier access to Taiwanese consumers.
