Elon Musk reportedly dropped to his knees and begged for forgiveness from Google co-founder Sergey Brin after he had an affair with the Google co-founder's wife, Bethany Biron reported for Business Insider.

According to sources, the event occurred early this year at a party. While Brin accepted the apologies, the two tech titans are not speaking, according to the Wall Street Journal (WSJ).
The report comes as Musk is embroiled in a series of scandals, including a protracted court battle with Twitter after the Tesla CEO backed out of a $44 billion agreement to buy the social media site.
Sergey Brin divorced his wife, Nicole Shanahan, in January 2022 after learning of her alleged affair with Elon Musk, which WSJ stated began in December 2021 at the Art Basel art show in Miami.
Brin and Shanahan were separated at the time but still living together, according to sources, and had had issues related to COVID-19 and caring for their small daughter.
According to court filings, Brin filed for divorce in January, alleging "irreconcilable differences." According to reports, Brin's relationship with Musk has become tense in the months since, and he has instructed his financial advisers to sell his shares in Musk's various enterprises. Tesla is one of them, in which Brin contributed $500,000 in 2008.
"I hope for Sergey and I to move forward with dignity, honesty and harmony for the sake of our child. And we are both working towards that," Shanahan told this to the news website Puck earlier this month. Musk allegedly had the affair after splitting up with his girlfriend, Grimes.
They have two children, one of whom was born via surrogate the same month as the affair. Musk had twins with one of his top executives, Shivon Zilis, the month before, according to Insider's Julia Black.
