Musk Warns Of Prolonged Recession, As Economists Say

Tesla chief executive officer (CEO) Elon Musk thinks a recession will last until spring of 2024 after earlier raising concerns on demand in China and Europe, Reuters reported.

Photo Insert: Shares of Tesla slid on Thursday, a day after Musk said it was a "little harder" for the electric-vehicle maker to garner demand in the face of a weakening global economy.
"Just guessing, but probably until spring of '24," Musk said on Twitter when a user asked him how long the recession would last. His guess is consistent with the views of some economists who also profit from the stock market and do not splurge on bonds.
Shares of Tesla slid on Thursday, a day after Musk said it was a "little harder" for the electric-vehicle maker to garner demand in the face of a weakening global economy.
Musk had been claiming that the US was already in recession but just like his previous predictions as well as his promised rollout of his Cybertruck and self-driving Tesla cars never came to pass.
