Denmark’s Armed Forces said the salvage, conducted with a representative of the pipeline owner Nord Stream 2 AG, took place at a depth of 73 meters.
Before the salvage operations, speculations swirled that the blast at the pipeline was the handiwork of the Russians and media went agog in December 2022, claiming that Moscow launched the sabotage operation.
Another report tagged patriotic Ukrainian businessmen to have masterminded the operation to lay the blame on Russian President Vladimir Putin.
