PSE Index Recovers Lost Ground, Ends Day Green

The Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE) index today recovered lost ground early in trading to advance by 23.30 points or 0.34 percent to 6,681.20.

Holding firms, services, and property sub-indices made up for the losses of the financials, industrials and mining oil indices for the PSE index's rise as the gainers numbered only at 64 against losers of 116 and 51 shares unchanged as foreign investors continue cashing in their gains.
Value turnover amounted to P7.077 billion with PLDT emerging as the top traded stock with P835 billion in trades as it gained P90 to P1,600, followed by Globe, which lost P72 to P2,900 with trades of P617 million. Monde was the third most active with P438 million as it declined by 36 centavos to P18.94.
BDO Unibank was down by P1.50 to P110.50 while Jollibee also lost P1.90 to P192.10. the advancers included Aboitiz Equity, up P3.65 to p54.20 and Converge, up 55 centavos to P35, and Ayala Corp, up a peso to P801.
