SIGNIFICANT FIRE GROWTH NOTED

“Significant fire growth” is expected for the LNU Lightning Complex fires, which continues to expand as the third-largest wildfire in state history.

As of Saturday night, thefireshad consumed 325,128 acres with 15% containment, CalFire reported. Solano County Undersheriff Brad DeWall said in a video posted on Facebook thefirehas burned 50,000 acres in the county.


The fires have destroyed 845 structures and damaged 231 others. The fires continue to threaten 30,500 structures, Cal Fire said according to a report from KCRA 3 News.

DeWall said 119 homes in Solano County have been destroyed.


The LNU Lightning Complex fires ignited Tuesday night due to lightning strikes in Napa and Sonoma counties. The fires have since spread to Lake, Solano and Yolo counties.Three Napa County residents and one Solano County resident have died in the LNU Lightning Complex fires. Four others were injured, Cal Fire said.


The complex is now the third largest wildfire incident in California history, burning more than the Thomas Fire that consumed 281,893 acres in Ventura and Santa Barbara counties in December 2017, according to Cal Fire records.
