STEVE HARVEY'S FIRST-EVER NFT FOR CHARITY

Global entertainer, businessman and philanthropist Steve Harvey is launching his first-ever non-fungible tokens (NFTs) on Rarible.com.

The proceeds from the first NFT sales will go to the Steve and Marjorie Harvey Foundation, a 501.C.3 delivering relevant mentoring, scholarship, and education programs for youth that aid in their successful development.

The release is scheduled for Friday, May 14th at 12pm, ET/9am PT. There are three NFTs to choose from:

• The first will be minted in 112 editions, a nod to Steve's childhood home on East 112th Street in Cleveland. The classic Steve Harvey GIF is from his early days on the comedy stage.

• The second NFT includes a Steve Harvey digital signature consisting of 3 editions.

• The final NFT release, limited to 1 edition, will be sold at auction and will include the tie featured in the NFT autographed by Harvey.

“As a boy growing up in Cleveland, I never had the newest things but I’ve always been interested in learning and doing better,” said Harvey. “And what I’ve learned from doing business all over the world, is that there is always something new to create and invest in. So, I’m excited about NFTs, and this new opportunity to give back via the Foundation while also bringing awareness to this new technology.”

Alexander Salnikov, the founder of Rarible.com, has worked in blockchain and cryptocurrency since 2012. “NFTs are fun and the platform makes it simple to create and own the digital item using the Ethereum (CRYPTO: ETH) blockchain,” said Salnikov.

By creating NFTs unique to him and highly recognizable by his audience, Steve and Rarible.com are offering an opportunity for fans and collectors to own a Harvey collectible and get access to memorabilia directly from Steve. By donating the proceeds of the first NFT auction to his foundation, Steve is paying it forward to programs that benefit the community while bringing awareness to his fans. Doing good and doing well.

Steve is leading the way for entertainers, artists and other creators to fully own their content on this new platform. NFTs are easily the hottest blockchain application since cryptocurrency. All too often communities of color are not in the loop until the opportunity has greatly diminished.

Steve wants to shine a light on NFTs and encourage other entertainers, artists, and entrepreneurs who own and create content to leverage new markets and exchanges.
