According to Osaka Prefectural Police's Konohana Police Station and other sources, a passenger found a plastic bottle containing a liquid inside a regular eight-car train bound for Nishikujo Station that had stopped at Sakurajima Station in Osaka's Konohana Ward at around 7:15 a.m.

Station staff reported it to police, and officers and firefighters rushed to the scene.

The plastic bottle reportedly had a label indicating water, but a brown liquid was found in it, so it was treated as a "suspicious object." It was later found that the contents were tea.

According to West Japan Railway Co., the trouble caused the cancellation of 14 subsequent trains on the JR Sakurajima Line between Sakurajima and Nishikujo stations.
