Trump Is A National Security Threat: Neuroscientist

Cognitive neuroscientist Bobby Azarian has warned anew that defeated ex-US president Donald Trump is a national security threat, whether he runs for the White House, is indicted and loses.

Azarian stressed in an opinion piece for Raw Story that he had warned US voters against Trump in 2016 and 2018 and repeated in 2020 that Trump was a classic case of a man suffering from narcissistic personality disorder.

Azarian said Trump is actually worse since he is a “vulnerable narcissist” — “a person who tells himself he is superior but, deep down, is extremely insecure. These narcissists have low self-esteem and crave affirmation.”

Azarian added: “While this insight explains a lot about Trump’s character and previous behavior, it is relevant to the present moment because narcissists who experience a ‘fall from grace’ experience narcissistic injury, which can lead to them lashing out and trying to inflict damage on those they feel did them wrong.”

The Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM) defines narcissistic injury as “vulnerability in self-esteem which makes narcissistic people very sensitive to injury from criticism or defeat.”

One way to keep him from harming the US is to keep him out of circulation, perhaps in solitary confinement.
