U.S. Crafts $325-M Military Aid For Ukraine

The US Department of Defense announced that Washington will be shipping to Ukraine an additional security assistance package worth $325 million.

The package includes more ammunition for High Mobility Artillery Rocket Systems (HIMARS), 155mm and 105mm artillery shells, anti-armor weapon systems, anti-tank mines, and more than nine million rounds of small arms ammunition.
Ukraine is likely to ask for more air defense missiles at the upcoming Ramstein summit, the Financial Times reported on April 19.
Ukraine has stressed the need to strengthen its air defense systems against Russian missile and drone attacks and has asked for warplanes, anti-aircraft rockets and long-range guided munitions.
Patriot systems from the US and the Netherlands have already arrived in Ukraine, First Deputy Minister of Defense Oleksandr Pavliuk disclosed, Kyiv Independent reported.
