The United States has authorized the sale of 1,156 FGM-148F Javelin anti-tank missiles to the Taiwanese Army in a deal valued at $375 million, Redacción Zona Militar (RZM) reported.

The State Department notification, issued under the Foreign Military Sales (FMS) program, adds to a series of recent US arms sales to Taiwan totaling several billion dollars.
The authorization is intended to further strengthen Taiwan’s military capabilities.
It follows approvals for the sale of M109A7 Paladin self-propelled howitzers, HIMARS high-mobility artillery rocket systems, ATACMS tactical ballistic missiles, and thousands of ALTIUS loitering munitions.
The package also includes a logistics support agreement for the Taiwanese Army’s fleet of AH-1W SuperCobra attack helicopters.
