UK Predicts Russia Will Lose 500,000 Troops By End Of 2024

The UK Ministry of Defense (MOD) predicts that Russia is on track to lose 500,000 soldiers by the end of 2024, transforming its forces into a "low-quality, high-quantity mass army," according to Alia Shoaib's report for Business Insider.

The MOD suggests that Russia's forces have become a "low-quality, high-quantity mass army," experiencing a decline in quality due to mass recruitment and quick conscript training.

Russia's strategy in Ukraine has led to an increase in casualties, with the average daily number rising by almost 300 over the past year.

US intelligence estimates that around 315,000 Russian troops have been killed or injured since the beginning of the war, representing approximately 90% of the personnel it had when the conflict started.

The MOD believes it will take Russia five to 10 years to rebuild its forces to a high standard, given its current approach to recruitment and training.
