Ukraine’s armed forces said they shot down dozens of drones, most of them targeting the capital Kyiv in a fresh round of overnight attacks on the country, Kelsey Ables, Ellen Francis and David L. Stern reported for Washington Post.

Al Jazeera reported that 28 of 30 Shahed drones were shot down over the capital as air raid sirens were heard across the country.
The General Staff of Ukraine’s Armed Forces said that according to preliminary information, the city of Lviv was also attacked with missiles along with infrastructure targets in Zaporizhzhia and Mykolaiv. No casualties were reported in those attacks.
