Cherkasy Oblast Governor Ihor Taburets reported on Sept. 16 that a Russian missile was downed over the oblast's Uman district, causing minor damage to several non-residential buildings and an emergency shutdown of power supply facilities. He told Kyiv Independent that there were no casualties.

In a deal finalized with Germany, Greece will send 40 BMP-1 infantry fighting vehicles (IFVs) to Ukraine and in return, Germany will ship the same number of Marder armored fighting vehicles (AFVs) from Germany to Greece. It took Germany and Greece four months to agree on the deal.
The Pentagon has announced that Ukraine to receive its first two NASAMS air defense systems within two months.
“These air defense systems will help Ukraine protect itself from threats from the air - in particular from airplanes, drones, and cruise missiles,” Pentagon press secretary General Patrick Ryder said. NASAMS are surface-to-air missile systems capable of detecting and hitting targets as far as 180 kilometers.
