Stratcom posted on Telegram on Friday, stating, "At noon on September 22, the Defense Forces of Ukraine carried out a successful strike on the Headquarters of the Russian Black Sea Fleet Command in occupied Sevastopol."
Sevastopol is one of the largest cities in Crimea, which was illegally annexed by Moscow's forces in 2014.
Over the past month, Ukraine has escalated attacks on Russian military bases and other installations, including air defenses, in Crimea.
This confirmation coincided with a report by CNN’s Anna Chernova, revealing that Crimean Internet providers have experienced an "unprecedented" cyberattack, resulting in Internet access problems for residents in Crimea.
Oleg Kryuchkov, an adviser to the head of occupied Crimea, disclosed that "an unprecedented cyber-attack" had been launched on Crimean Internet providers. He stated, "We have detected disruptions in Internet services on the [Crimean] peninsula. All services are working to eliminate the threat."
