The investment builds on Amazon’s ongoing efforts to create a robust operations network capable of reaching every serviceable pin code across the country. In June 2023, Amazon said it would raise its total investment in India to $26 billion by 2030, although it did not provide a detailed breakdown.
The new funds will be used to launch new sites and upgrade existing facilities across its fulfillment and delivery networks, enhancing processing capacity and speeding up delivery times.
Amazon also said it will deploy technology to alert delivery associates about unsafe driving speeds and ensure fair distribution of delivery routes. A portion of the investment will go toward expanding programs focused on improving employee health and financial well-being.
