Ford is recalling 1.1 million vehicles in the U.S. due to a software issue that could cause rearview camera images to freeze or fail to display, increasing crash risk, Reuters' David Shepardson reported.

The recall covers select 2021–2024 Ford Bronco, F-150, Edge, Escape, Corsair, F-series trucks, and several Lincoln models, including the Nautilus and Navigator, as well as the 2022–2025 Transit and 2021–2023 Mustang Mach-E.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) began investigating the issue in January after receiving more than 30 complaints about F-150 camera malfunctions.
Ford confirmed one crash with minor property damage has been linked to the defect. The company traced the problem to specific software variants identified during internal testing in April.
