Microsoft Tops $4-T Market Cap

Microsoft’s market capitalization has officially surpassed $4 trillion, making it the second company—after Nvidia—to reach the milestone, Yahoo Finance's Laura Bratton reported.

Microsoft shares rose as much as 8% Thursday morning before paring gains, remaining up roughly 5% shortly after the market opened. Microsoft, Apple (AAPL), and Nvidia have recently traded places as the world’s most valuable companies.
Nvidia continues to hold the top spot, with a market cap of approximately $4.4 trillion recently, following a stunning rebound from a rocky start to the year. Apple trailed with a market cap just over $3 trillion in morning trading.
