The COVID-19 pandemic has forced Taiwan's last brothel to close its doors due to a lack of revenue since the deadly disease struck, Anne Grace Savitha reported for Malay Mail.

Tiantianle, located at 99 Minquan Road in Taiwan's Taoyuan district, had almost no income these past years. As a result, employees have gone on leave, and the company will close on June 3.
However, according to Taiwan News, another reason for the brothel's closure was a drop in clientele due to competition from illegal sex work.
The brothel owner, on the other hand, has not stated whether the business will reopen after COVID-19 and has not applied for their license to be withdrawn.
The brothel's license will be revoked if the sex industry business does not resume by July 1. According to the news portal, the owner is attempting to help former employees, all of whom are registered sex workers, find new jobs.
